Although the possibility of a reportable breach of PHI seems remote, is your organization prepared and financially able to take the necessary steps to ameliorate the problem if a breach should occur. The market for this type of coverage is still limited, but many providers are questioning whether they should be adding cyber insurance to their risk program.

As providers position themselves not only to survive but to thrive as healthcare reform progresses, what is the role of the Compliance Officer relative to the changing regulatory environment? Listen as a panel of experts discuss the risks inherent in a strategy that might include establishing an Accountable Care Organization, physician practice alignment, joint ventures with other providers, co-management of service lines and other as yet undefined relationships.
Panelists: Gary Herschman, Sills Cummis & Gross, P.C.
Tom Flynn, MBA, FACHE, CHC, Chief Compliance Officer, Hackensack University Medical Center

  • Using Analytics for Improving your Compliance Program 2:25 – 3:15
This session will demonstrate how to use the newest analytical tools in your compliance program and how this can make your program more effective and efficient. During the presentation you will understand the difference between analytics and simple reporting and see several sample processes for using this information in your day to day tasks. We will also explain how the government is using these analytical methods for audit targets and recoveries. After attending you will be able to take some of the information and apply directly to your organization for immediate changes and improvements.

Listen to some of the out of title issues routinely referred to Compliance Professionals because often staff and management just don't know where else to turn.
