Achieving these designations helps to prepare healthcare finance professionals for increasingly responsible positions in the healthcare industry and demonstrate dedication to professional development.

The NJ Chapter of HFMA will be concurrently hosting proctored certification examination testing at two sites: Atlantic Health and ARMDS, on March 6, 2010 at 9:00 am.

If you intend to take the exam, you must also register with National at least two weeks in advance of the exam date at http://www.hfma.org/certification/chfp/ and click on CHFP Exam Application under the "Exams" Heading. THIS MUST BE COMPLETED NO LATER THAN FEBURARY 12, 2010 and requires additional fees. On your application, please identify Mike Alwell as the exam proctor for the Atlantic Health location and Maria Facciponti as the exam proctor for the ARMDS location. Exam applications without a proctor's name or exam date cannot be processed.

Approximately 3 business days prior to the exam, HFMA National will send you an e-mail with a password, which will allow you access to the exam. YOU MUST BRING THE EMAIL CONTAINING THE PASSWORD TO THE TEST SITE. The exam will be taken over the Internet at the authorized testing location identified above.

The Chapter has a few 2009-2010 Certification Exam Self-Study guides for the Core and Specialty exams available for loan by contacting Laura Hess, Chapter Administrator, at (888) 652-4362 or you may order your own copy from National through Member Services (see website in footnote 2, below).

Proctors may be available at alternate dates, times, and locations whenever you are ready to sit for the exam. If you would like more information about HFMA Certification or need to arrange an alternate, mutually acceptable testing date with a proctor, please contact one of the individuals below:
