Healthcare reform is a major priority for many, if not all of us. For those paying for healthcare, the prices seem exorbitant. For those being paid for goods and services, the revenue received seems to barely cover expenses. For everyone, the system is complex and often irrational. 

The healthcare reform bills being debated in Congress are complex and it is difficult to access whether various provisions will lead to positive reforms or more new challenges. Each bill treats Medicare, Medicaid, prescription drugs and  provider payments differently.

The Regulatory and Reimbursement Committee is forming a sub committee to draft an HFMA comment letter on the Healthcare Reform Bill that was passed in the House of Representatives and the one currently under discussion in the Senate. As this legislation affects many Provider and Vendor areas, we are seeking comments and opinions from the entire membership in order to draft comments that speak for all NJ HFMA members. The New Jersey Chapter of HFMA will award at least one scholarship of up to $3,000. You, your spouse or dependent may be eligible for the scholarship if you meet the following criteria.
